Quadient Innovation Day - Sydney 2024
Cumulo9 presenting at the recent Quadient Innovation Day conference held in Sydney
Quadient Innovation Days are a series of in-person events held in ten major cities around the World, with Sydney being the fourth venue this year, following San Diego, Stockholm, and Chicago.
The growth trends highlight the importance of events like these. Quadient reported that the CCM (Customer Communications) market is growing at 11% PA and is now a US$4.6 billion market. This reflects the increasing importance of customer communication tools in transforming customer experiences, especially in a digital-first world.
David Allen and Alan Page from Cumulo9 were fortunate enough to be able to make the trip across to Sydney to not only attend, David also had the opportunity to present. David’s presentation focused on eInvoicing and how Inspire can be the enabler of eInvoicing in just three simple steps. He also spoke about the evolution of billing, shifting from document-heavy processes to eInvoicing, which is all about managing data efficiently.
Several Quadient customer examples were discussed, including Australian Retirement Trust and Auto & General. Details about how their migration to Inspire helped simplify documents and improve accessibility by using plain English and embracing digital workflows. Big wins were delivered by moving ad-hock document creation onto Inspire Interactive, where there is a fully managed authoring and approval process.
Key takeaways from the conference included:
- Inspire Scaler unlocks a much wider echo-system collaboration play with easily configured connections to various third-party applications. As an example, Braze and Guidewire both spoke at the conference. They talked about “playing nicely with other technology providers.”
- Customer engagement and satisfaction and gaining competitive advantage remain the primary drivers for investment in Inspire. Anthony Chan from Quadient spoke about being seen as a “trusted advisor” and how the wider Quadient offer enabled organisations to transform customer interactions.
- The traditional service providers (mail houses / PSPs), who represent an important vertical for Quadient, are now recognising the need to re-position as “managed service providers” or as “CX” providers.
- There is a growing thirst for “push notifications” as security is seen as a big threat.
NB: It’s also the reason why Cumulo9’s locally hosted C9 Transact email solution is seen as a highly desirable solution for email and other forms of messaging.
The conference also allowed Quadient to launch its new iForms business and the Quadient Digital Archive solution.
iForms opens a big opportunity for businesses to automate information capture processes and enhance the customer experience when customers interact with a business online. This and the evolving nature of customer engagement solutions showcase the continued investment and innovation in the CCM space.
The conference, held at the W Hotel on Darling Harbour, also featured presentations from various prominent industry players, including Australian Retirement Trust, Auto & General, and other major companies such as AB Corp, Computershare, and DXC, highlighting the broad reach and industry presence of Quadient’s solutions.
Upcoming events are scheduled in Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris, Jersey City, London, and Milan, and it is definitely worth a look if you are in the neighbourhood.
