Syncsort Completes Acquisition of the Pitney Bowes Software and Data Business

Data Management software provider Syncsort has recently closed the deal to acquire Global Technology company, Pitney Bowes software and data business. Everything has been agreed and the deal is now done as of 2 December 2019.

It is anticipated that the acquisition of Pitney Bowes software and data business by Syncsort will enable enterprises across all the major industries to maximise the value of their data. The fit makes good sense as it is clear that the addition of Pitney Bowes software and data businesses will complement Syncsort's business well. With this newly combined portfolio, Syncsort can now serve more than 11,000 leading enterprises and hundreds of channel partners worldwide.

Cumulo9 has enjoyed a close partnership with Pitney Bowes as we resell their archive solution as C9 Vault. We view the recent software acquisition by Syncsort as a positive development as Syncsort are committed to investing in and further growing their global software business.  There is a growing requirement for businesses to review their document management strategies as compliance and a renewed focus on customer communications means that documents, in whatever form they might be in, need to be safely stored and be able to be retrieved "on-demand".  C9 Vault was specifically designed as an affordable and scaleable enterprise document repository, handling the many varieties of document formats that exist today.

While a lot will be changing within Syncsort the company aims to continue to help enable its clients to evolve, mature, and expand into new markets with minimal disruption. Syncsort will continue to bring an unmatched combination of scale, agility, and breadth of portfolio to empower leading enterprises to gain a competitive advantage from their data.
