Reflecting on 2025: Cumulo9’s Year in Review
As we wrap up another big year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the key highlights and challenges we’ve navigated together in 2025. It’s certainly been a year of change - both globally and across the technology landscape - but it’s also been one of progress and strong momentum at Cumulo9.
In the following news update, Cumulo9 CEO Chris Hogg takes a quick look back at what shaped our year and the milestones we’re proud to share as we head into 2026.
A reflection on 2025 and Cumulo9 wins
Over the past two years, the global landscape has remained uncertain. Conflicts continue to emerge, economic pressures persist, particularly for SMEs and international markets face ongoing volatility driven by shifting tariffs. In technology, AI continues to dominate discussions, with businesses exploring opportunities while navigating the risks associated with sharing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with Large Language Models (LLM). At Cumulo9, we remain focused on monitoring developments and identifying secure, practical applications for our customers.
Cybersecurity challenges have also intensified. Scams, hacks, and cloud-related outages such as recent failures in major U.S. data centres highlight the need for rigorous monitoring and resilient failover systems. Behind the scenes, many enterprises are also paying ransoms to recover compromised data, underscoring the seriousness of today’s threats.
Despite this environment, C9 Transact continues to grow strongly across both new and existing customers. This reflects not only the reliability of our platform but also the rapid shift in customer communication preferences. We’ve expanded our delivery channels to include a full WhatsApp integration and introduced an enhanced dashboard that unifies insights across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and Peppol eInvoicing.
And speaking of Peppol, our capability with Peppol is now live with enterprise-to-government transactions, and we’re excited to expand into B2B eInvoicing. We also released our 5th annual Essential Email Insights Report, offering valuable industry trends – download a copy here if you have not had a look at this yet.
Following another successful ISO27001:2022 audit, our commitment to security remains unwavering. Key client achievements, including NZTA’s digital optimisation, demonstrate the impact of our solutions, and we look forward to supporting further digital transformation across government and enterprise in the year ahead.
Finally, Cumulo9 continues to be a proud supporter of the Gut Cancer Foundation, New Zealand F1 driver Liam Lawson and our partnership with Auckland FC.

For those clients who are using our C9 Campaign system, check your 'Messages/ Holidays' folder and you will find selection of e-card templates that you can send to your clients right now. These can be used to say thank you and happy holidays, advise them of your holiday period 'out of office' dates and spread some Christmas fun. Just add your usual wildcards to fully personalise each message.
Cumulo9 Christmas office hours
The Cumulo9 team are taking a well-deserved break over the Christmas and New Year's period, and the office will be closed from 5 pm Wednesday, 24 December 2025, until 9 am Monday, 5 January 2026. We will still have a skeleton crew available for emergency issues only during this closedown period.
