Major C9 Transact release brings new features, including WhatsApp integration
We’re always looking for ways to strengthen our technology and give clients more control over their essential communications. With this in mind, we have been working on the latest enhancements to C9 Transact with the recent release of version 6.4.6. This upgrade brings a mix of new features, user enhancements, and security improvements, and we’re particularly excited about the introduction of WhatsApp as a new communication channel.
WhatsApp integration
WhatsApp is now available alongside email, SMS and Peppol within C9 Transact. This means you can trigger WhatsApp messaging through XML, API calls, or directly from the dashboard. After a small amount of configuration, it becomes possible to:
- Deliver documents securely via WhatsApp
- Integrate WhatsApp into call centre and support processes
- Enable real-time, two-way conversations with customers
While setting up a WhatsApp Business Account can normally be complex, we’ve simplified the process so that your organisation can get up and running quickly. Importantly, all reporting remains centralised within C9 Transact, keeping oversight simple and reliable.
Easier management of dynamic webpages
Another highlight of this release is the ability to create and manage dynamic webpages within the dashboard. Examples include email address validation, contact details update and custom error pages, and other interactive elements. Users with the right permissions can now update these directly, helping organisations adapt quickly without extra development or support.
Reporting and user improvements
Version 6.4.6 also sees the introduction of several changes that make C9 Transact more transparent and user-friendly:
- Peppol drill down now works directly from the main reports screen, consistent with email and SMS reporting.
- Expanded user audit actions provide greater visibility of activity within the system.
- Object histories for Basic Content Users (on request) make it easier for selected non-admin users to track template creation and promotion dates.
Additionally, for clients who only use specific services such as Peppol or WhatsApp, non-subscribed email and SMS reports can now be suppressed from the dashboard overview, keeping reporting views cleaner and more relevant.
These updates give teams stronger oversight and simplify compliance reporting.
New controls and refinements
And finally, to make everyday use of C9 Transact even smoother, we’ve also added:
- A regeneration option for Output XML files, allowing fresh uploads via SFTP if files are misplaced by operations staff or processes.
- Template status safeguards, ensuring only active templates can be used, preventing errors in mailouts.
- A few minor dashboard bug fixes to further improve stability.
For our current clients, we trust you are enjoying the new features. If you are not using C9 Transact yet and would like to know more - contact our team for more information.
