C9 Transact Update: March 2026

At Cumulo9, we’re always working to strengthen system security and improve the performance of our C9 Transact email platform.

We’re pleased to advise that version 6.4.7 was successfully released on Sunday, 22 March at 9am, along with a series of deliverability enhancements rolling out over the coming months.

These updates are designed to improve security, streamline workflows, and give you even greater control and visibility.

This release introduced a range of new features and improvements designed to increase security, efficiency, and visibility:

• Improved TLS certificate negotiation
  Enhancements to the opportunistic TLS handshake protocol mean more messages will now be delivered securely instead of defaulting to SMTP
• Email forwarding functionality
  Accounts configured with errors-to addresses can now forward received messages to a mailbox within your domain, while also recording status updates for outbound messages.
• Improved permanent exception handling
  Messages that fail TLS due to clearly invalid addresses will now be immediately marked as invalid, avoiding unnecessary retries.
• New reporting capabilities
  Scheduled overtime reports have been introduced, enabling better visibility across multiple mailouts.
• Per account SMS provider settings
  Each account can now select a preferred SMS provider, allowing multiple providers to be integrated and reported on across email, SMS, Peppol, and WhatsApp.
• Enhanced data protection controls
  Data masking can now be enabled on a per-user basis within the dashboard to restrict access to personally identifiable information (PII).
• New override option
  In specific cases and by prior arrangement, users can override the test stream address for a single mailout via the Input XML.
• Bug fixes and UI updates
  Minor cosmetic improvements and updated tooltips have been included for a smoother user experience.

We actively monitor daily deliverability and respond quickly to changes from mailbox providers.

Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing further improvements, including DKIM key rotation along with expanded domain and IP reputation monitoring.
